For nearly years we were the closest members of the family to each other (geographically speaking) and sporadically over that time we took great advantage of this fact.
Missy and I greeting my brother at SLC on his way home from Chile. |
There is no one on earth who could possibly have an aunt who is more genuinely concerned for them, more loving of them, or more willing to help them. And through her layers upon layers of sarcasm and ridicule (mostly well meaning), I hear the underlying message every time, "I love you."
So in the words of Ruby porter… happy birthday to you … “Aw aw arwwooooo!”

I read this blog. Well said... and, you're a pretty cool guy yourself Christopher - as evident in this sweet tribute to Missy!
What a kind and thoughtful post Christopher. You captured Missy's endearing qualities so well.
She is indeed a wonderful and genuine person who spoils and pampers so many - especially her nephews and nieces whom she dearly loves.
I hope you and Kodie and family are all doing great!
